About the position of Electrical Engineer – Services
What to expect of the Electrical Engineer – Services position within Huisman?
As an Electrical Engineer in our Services Department, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and upgrading our advanced equipment. You’ll work in a dynamic, international environment where innovation, quality, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.
You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across various disciplines, while also managing your own projects with a high level of autonomy. From troubleshooting complex systems to implementing future-proof upgrades, each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Whether you’re supporting renewable energy projects or high-tech offshore systems, your work will have a real and measurable impact.

Your responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during service and upgrade projects;
- Preparing and executing inspections, upgrades, and modifications;
- Delivering practical electrical solutions and clear technical feedback;
- Translating project requirements into effective system improvements;
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and Huisman’s quality guidelines;
- Supporting clients with technical advice and documentation to ensure smooth execution.

You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or MBO 4 diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Marine Engineering
- Experience with EPLAN
- Knowledge of Windchill (or a strong willingness to learn)
- Solid understanding of electrical codes, symbols, and components;
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
