About the position of Junior R&D Test Engineer

As a Junior R&D Test Engineer, you enjoy a practical approach and working with engineers and technicians from different projects and disciplines. You will work as an R&D test engineer in Huisman's laboratory. Here, we have various test setups that allow us to test technical issues. For example, we build prototypes or use the fixed setup for mechanical testing. You will also be responsible for the machines, maintenance and modifications to test setups, and preparing, conducting and reporting on the tests.
Issues for the R&D department can arise at different times and stages of the process. Test questions arise during the pre-sales and engineering phase, but also during production, commissioning and maintenance.

What do we expect of you?
As a Jr. Test Engineer R&D, you are responsible for building and implementing test plans in our laboratory. You like a practical approach and you will be able to connect with our R&D Engineers without any problems.
This means that you are responsible for:
- A detailed test plan, drawings and schemes of the test equipment;
- Commissioning and calibration of the test set-up;
- Execute tests and solve operational problems;
- Informing colleagues about the progress and test results of the expected quality;

You have:
• MBO 4 level or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering;
• Experience with welding, turning and milling;
• Experience with 2D and 3D drawing (Inventor);
• An affinity for conducting experiments and collecting data;
• An eye for detail;
• The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and set priorities;
• Dutch and English, both spoken and written, are required;
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the Dutch language verbally and in writing;
