About the position of Expeditor Services
What to expect of the Expeditor Services position within Huisman?
As an Expeditor you will work in an international and dynamic team. You will be responsible for the timely and correct delivery of products and services. You will achieve this by:
- Coordinating with internal teams such as Procurement, Sales, Engineering and QC on deadlines and external visits;
- Monitoring the progress of purchased goods and services;
- Ensuring timely delivery as agreed;
- Timely identification of deviations from supplier agreements and initiation and follow-up of appropriate actions;
- Ensure proper receipt and review of pre- and post-production documentation from the supplier, followed by QC approval;
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to schedule and expedite Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs);
- Reporting and analysis of supplier performance and timely communication to relevant stakeholders;
- Advising Category Managers on supplier related issues and strategic inventory management.
What do we expect of you?
We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident and able to navigate between different levels. Are you a team player who doesn't give up easily and is keen to develop? Then you're the one we're looking for. You should also have:
- A background in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a similar field;
- 3-5 years' experience in a technical environment;
- Ability to adapt quickly, prioritise and work to achieve results;
- Strong communication and analytical skills;
- A flexible and customer-focused approach to work;
- Proactive and persuasive;
- Structured, self-directed in planning and prioritising;
- Available to work 40 hours per week;
- Willing to travel for supplier visits, site inspections and reporting to monitor project progress as required.

- An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- A good command of English, both written and spoken;
