About the position of Sales Manager Port Logistics
What to expect of the Sales Manager position within Huisman?
We are looking for a new sales colleague to further expand the Port Logistics market. As a Sales Manager you are familiar with selling large technical projects to known and new clients. Dealing with large projects requires you to think analytically and on a strategic level with high independence. You handle your business with great integrity and you keep your promises. Working in this role at Huisman means you get to work in a complex and technically challenging environment with a great sales team.

What do we expect of you?
As Sales Manager, you are responsible for:
- Develop clients and have the opportunity to find new clients;
- Develop strategies for your sales projects;
- Creating and release quotations based on your strategy in cooperation with the Tender and Concept colleagues;
- Manage your own sales project in the organisation;
- Prepare and represent Huisman at trade fairs and events;
- Facilitating, and cooperate with the stakeholders within the Sales process;
- Building, expanding, and maintaining a diverse network at different levels.

You are:
- independent and Business savvy;
- modest but very good in building relations;
- eager to learn the Sales skills but also want to get to the bottom of the technology to make sure you know exactly what you are working on;
- technically skilled, but also commercially strong enough to move the project forward and be able to lead the negotiations;
- a team player and able to motivate and lead the tender team.
You have:
- over 6 years' experience years or relevant experience in the technical industry;
- a technical BSC/MSC degree;
- a network in the port logistics industry;
- experience with sales of one-off high technical systems and have a proven track record;
- the ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to prioritize;
- an interest to manage projects and have good communication skills;
- no problem with travelling.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing
