About the position of Expeditor

What to expect of the Expeditor position within Huisman?

Would you like to work as the ears, the eyes and the voice of Huisman? As an Expeditor, you will monitor the progress of our suppliers and, where necessary, visit them to determine whether the set deadlines are being met and know when to escalate and/or mitigate in case of deviations. You have a critical and challenging mindset and do not want to go back to the project team empty-handed. You provide the project team with complete and reliable information so that there are no costly planning surprises.

Personal development and education opportunities are part of the deal. We would also like to point out the other advantages of working at Huisman, such as the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking innovations, an excellent employment conditions package and regular drinks in our own bar.

What do we expect of you?

As an Expeditor you are responsible for:

  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Engineering and QC for deadlines and external visits;
  • Monitoring the progress of procured goods and services, in accordance with the purchase order;
  • Ensuring delivery is in line with agreements, pushing and escalating when the project requires it;
  • A proactive approach, as timely delivery is essential to the projects.

Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?

You are someone for whom 'giving up' is not an option, who likes to understand people and does not settle for incomplete answers. You are comfortable in technical organisations and know how to move between different levels, one moment on the production floor with a supplier, the next moment at the boardroom table with a manager, and you are able to maintain a professional composure at all times.

You have:

  • A relevant Bachelor work and thinking level.

You are:

  • Flexible, client-oriented and focused;
  • Able to work with (ERP) systems;
  • Proactive and persuasive;
  • Practical, accurate and punctual.

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
