What do we expect of you?

As a Mechanical Routing Engineer you are responsible for design of piping, cable routes and access. Your work is multidisciplinary and no day is the same. Your job consists of:

  • Making Access & Outfitting Designs on system/basic/detailed level of complex systems;
  • Indicate priorities (Interface, E-Rooms) in the design;
  • Decide the level of required detail within a project/design based on project requirements;
  • Impact analysis & system overview over the whole system;
  • Acting pro-actively towards all the stakeholders to come to a cost effective design.

You are:

  • Analytical and have a systematic way of working;
  • Able to perform effectively under time pressure;
  • Result and client orientated;
  • Proactive and familiar with new developments within your expertise;
  • An excellent communicator;
  • Practical, accurate and punctual.

You have:

  • a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience as a Mechanical Routing Engineer, within the offshore/maritime sector. We are also open to a candidate who wants to learn this profession;
  • Pre to have experience of designing in 3D CAD package;
  • Great affinity with or interest in complex mechanical systems;
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to prioritize.

Some practical things we need you to have:

• An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
• A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.

  • After this date, we will commence the selection process. Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview. The vacancy may be closed earlier if a suitable application is received;
  • The first interview is scheduled to take place in week 47;
  • References may be requested from current and/or previous employers after the first interview, in consultation with you;
  • An technical test may form part of the procedure.
